Skype and the “3” mobile operator has just announced the long awaited GSM-enabled Skypephone. The Skypephone is a 3G mobile phone provides you free Skype to Skype calls (video calls too) and send free Skype instant messages from your phone to other Skype users. Moreover, the Skypephone also has all the standard functionality of a mobile phone.
The 3 Skypephone is more than a free Skype to Skype calls; the phone is also featured with a 2-megapixel camera, mp3 player, mobile TV and internet, as well as Java 3D games. The display of this phone is using the 2-inch 262K TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels resolution. However, the phone only featured with 16MB capacity only, I think you need 1GB microSD to satisfy the need of storage. The phone also packaged with Bluetooth, but you would not expect the phone is supporting Wi-Fi.
The good news is the phone will be sold exclusively by “3″ in the UK, Australia, Austria, Denmark, Hong Kong, Italy, Ireland, Macau and Sweden. UK will be first to get the handset as soon as November 2nd.
