
Gateway has just launched the P-7811FX, which is the latest 17-inch gaming laptop in its P-Series FX Edition line.
The Gateway P-7811FX, which is the company’s first laptop with the Intel Centrino 2 mobile platform, comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor at 2.26GHz, NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS 512MB dedicated video card, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 200GB hard drive at 7200rpm, and a DVD burner. The Gateway P-7811FX’s widescreen display has a resolution of 1920-by-1200 pixels.
The laptop also incorporates a 1.3-megapixel web camera, HDMI output, the Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Link network connection (802.11a/b/g/n), Gigabit Ethernet LAN, a 56k modem, an ExpressCard slot, 3 USB ports, eSATA and Firewire ports, and a 5-in-1 media card reader.
The Gateway P-7811FX weighs 9.2 pounds and ships with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit preinstalled. The Gateway P-7811FX will start at $1,449.
