In an event held last week in the former capital of China - Nanjing, the Finnish company Nokia officially introduced its new handset with touch-screen feature, the Nokia 6208c, which has already previously “light up” at some time in the Chinese company’s website.
The touch-screen on the Nokia 6208c is optimized to write Chinese characters and messages in the most natural way, with a new pen input device (stylus). The design of the stylus that attached to the back of the Nokia 6208c is inspired by bamboo slips and works perfectly with the large color screen-display, which is reminiscent of an ink stone, another element from traditional Chinese art and culture. In addition, all of these design cues are implemented using premium materials such as the stainless steel back cover that makes the Nokia 6208c both easy to use and comfortable to hold.
Added to the Chinese language support, the Nokia 6208c features a number of different languages and characters. Technically, the handset is a standard 3-diapazonny GSM phone technology to support EDGE, following a form-factor “monoblock”. The Nokia 6208c is equipped with a 3.2 MP camera with LED backlit, which is enable users to capture memories and sharing moments in simple and easy way. Moreover, the large input area features larger fonts for browsing and messaging as well as displaying images and web pages. The Nokia 6208c also supports optional microSD cards up to 8GB, providing ample memory for pictures, videos, music and more.
Early shipment the Nokia 6208c is expected for the first half of 2009.
