Two weeks ago, I’ve heard about the speculation of new Palm’s gadget. A speculation about a new, slimmed down, cut-price Palm phone, etc. Then I’ve heard also about leaked photos of a handset that going under the name of “Gandolf”, which is the Palm version that rumored to debut on Sprint this year.
A friend of mine told me that the device will be featured both Sprint TV and Sprint Music Store access, Sprint Mobile Email, Google Maps, VersaMail, a new client called Sprint Instant Messaging, PocketTunes Deluxe media player, and a 1.3MP camera.
Now, someone at the Morning Paper claim to have a piece of marketing collateral which spills, or at least reshuffles the beans on the Palm Centro for Sprint. According to him, the exactly name for the device is “Centro”, and the name of “Gandolf” will never be used for the device anymore. You shouldn’t surprise for it, it’s just the matter of name, and the Palm itself, has not officially define the name for commercial customers.
