Samsung L700

Samsung seems to make a nice attempt to provide more style to some targeted markets. Here, Samsung L700, which brushed metal finish and 3G are all it takes to be noticed in the lower midrange market.

The Samsung L700 trimmed down user interface does the classy and solid exterior no justice. Unfortunately, it lacks customization options and has a poor snapshot gallery, which takes away some from the capable 2MP shooter. Moreover, the underperforming web browser fails to take full advantage of 3G data speed. Luckily, there is a good music player, but the quality of the audio is a letdown.

The Samsung L700 sports Smart dialing, Google and ShoZu integration, and an office document viewer that might be enough to set it apart. Using it as a Bluetooth 3G modem for your laptop is also an option. In the end it is a matter of priorities and above all – pricing, the Samsung L700 seems a successful alternative to most gadget in the target segment of $136 to $205. Last but not least, the Samsung L700 looks above its class, but performs below its looks.
