iPhone

Apple Inc., an American multinational corporation that focusing on design-manufacture of consumer electronics and related software products), has officially warned all iPhone owners who have used unauthorized programs to unlock their handsets so they could use other carriers than AT&T may end up with a phone that does not work after the company’s next software update for the iPhone.

Since June 29, the time that Apple hit the market, Apple has sold over a million iPhone. Since that time, hackers have posted a number of methods online to make the iPhone possible to use other cellular networks than AT&T, which is the exclusive official carrier for the iPhone.

According to Apple executives, they have discovered that many of unauthorized unlocking programs cause some software damage to iPhone. According to Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide product marketing, the announcement has nothing to do with Apple’s action due to a phone that is unlocked or hacked. Moreover, he said that some of these programs (programs that used to hack or unlock iPhone) have caused damage to the iPhone software, and Apple will not responsible for those consequences.

Apple plans to release its latest features that will be added to the iPhone, such as accessibility to the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store this week. However, unfortunately, Apple has discovered that the process of update may end up making the touch-screen of the cell phone completely inoperable if it has been hacked.

Although Apple only available for United States market, many Europeans are very interesting with this device, they bought iPhone and downloaded the programs to unlock it. Some of these programs are free and at least one that costs US$ 25. Apple will not guarantee those users. By officially, Apple will sell its iPhone for Europe market in November this year.

Although Apple did not admit that this movement is a threat to the users that have already unlocked their phone, I am sure that Apple want to make the users feel sorry for what they have done. Apple will not work with people who have hacked its products. Moreover, hacking into the iPhone will void Apple’s warranty.
